A Colorado man named Bob Jim has an ordinary name but today he caught a not-so ordinary fish. Bob was out fishing at Rampart Reservoir on the 3rd of May when all the sudden his rod bent over like a piece of grass in a tornado. We asked him how his rod or line did not break during his fight with the Behemoth.
Well, I had just moved here from Florida so the only rod I had was a
St. Croix heavy rod with 50-pound test line that I used for deep sea
fishing, I guess
said the exuberant Bob when asked.
it was dumb luck that I was using that rod and line. My electric Shimano Beastmaster has no trouble reeling the bad boy in.
The 40-pound Rainbow Trout has shattered the state record by
over 20 pounds, when asked why fish was so big experts could only assume
it was due to a unprecedented amount of growth
hormones in the fish. Bob will get the state record for no doubt a while to come.
